Nintendo is finding out what gamers are interested in when it comes to the "Virtual Console" on the Revolution.

Nintendo recently held an online survey about the Nintendo Revolution, mainly the "Virtual Console" service. For those who haven't heard, the Nintendo Revolution will come with a built in "Virtual Console" that will allow you to purchase and download classic Nintendo games to be played on your Revolution. So far the list of consoles consist of the NES, the Super NES, and the N64. No word on whether or not the "Virtual Console" will support game any Gameboy titles.

According to game site, joystiq.com, the survey focused mainly on pricing models. The first model was "Game Purchase" where you would be able to purchase the games and download them. The second model was "Rental Method" where you would basically pay to play the game for a short period of time.

Lastly, the "Subscription Sceme" would be a monthly charge allowing users to download a certain number of titles a month for a subscription fee.

Thats stupid and smart. And many people will not know that when it is time to buy the console because Nintendo will burry it. I belive its either going to be the Subscription fee, the smartest thing depending on how the game is downloaded and if it is this option you will not be able to put it on a memory card. Or their is possibly the chance of buying the game itself. I lean more to the subscription option because of this and many companies realize this and take advantage of it.

The subscription works well because you sign some sort of contract for a time line. 3 months, 6 months, 1yr, 2 yrs, etc. This way you will still pay each month even though you do not download a game.

We will see how this works out.
